First Impression and Mini Review: L'Oreal Infallible Setting Spray

So I've been hearing a lot of talk about the L'Oreal Infallible line of cosmetics. I am by no means an expert in cosmetics but just a 40-something wife and mother who is rediscovering cosmetics.

L'Oreal touts the Infallible line as a "never fail" type of make up and boasts a complete line from foundation to mascara to setting spray. What is setting spray you ask? The L'Oreal Pro-Spray & Set Makeup Extender Setting Spray is a way to keep your makeup looking fresh without having to reapply additional makeup. After you apply your makeup in the morning, you lightly mist your face with this product and feel your makeup setting. According to the L'Oreal website, this product is dermatologist tested and non-comedogenic.

This product retails for $16.99. You read that right and that's at the drugstore and not at some fancy makeup counter in a large department store. The beauty of purchasing cosmetics at the drugstore is you can almost always find great coupons and deals. I purchased my bottle at CVS last week which happened to be running a deal where you purchase $15 in beauty and receive $5 in ExtraBucks. If you are not familiar with this program, you basically earn rewards equating to "cash" which can be used at CVS at a later date. At some point you might even accumulate a lot of ExtraBucks where your out of pocket is minimal to nothing.

Fortunately for me, I had $1 off manufacturing coupon off any L'Oreal product plus $5 ExtraBucks from a previous visit and a $5 off $15 purchase which I received in my email a few days prior. After all was calculated, my out of pocket expense was only $5.99 plus tax. In addition, I earned another $5 in ExtraBucks which applied to this purchase made it really less than $2. How do you like them apples? Friends, coupons are free money!

I have been using this product for a few days now, and I really like how it sets my make up in the morning. It feels as if it is settling the makeup on my face. It is not oily and give my makeup that complete look. I'm not sure how long this bottle will last but it only takes about 2-3 mists which can't be very much. Of course the real test will is how this does over the course of a few months. But for right now I love it and I couldn't beat the price after all my coupons!
