Beauty Box Subscription: January 2016 Target Refresh Beauty Box

In my previous post I reviewed the first to two beauty boxes Target came out with earlier this month. Target does not offer a beauty box subscription so you need to subscribe to beauty blogs or groups to find out when these come out and grab them as fast as you can since they sell out quickly!

This beauty box, the Target Refresh Beauty Box (please note this box is sold out but I provided a link in case you were curious), came with nine items total and cost $7. The box also included a card with a description of each item and a coupon to use in-store or online for $3 off of a $15 beauty purchase. I love when they provide a coupon but it usually expires within a short amount of time, in this case by February 14, 2016.

Here are the items I received in the box (front row, L-R): Simple Micellar Wipes (full size!!!!) - Retail price: $6.99; Clear Men Scalp Therapy2-1 Complete Care Anti-Dandruff Shampoo (sample size) - Cost: 71 cents; Clear Scalp & Hair Therapy Total Care Nourishing Shampoo (sample size) - Cost: 65 cents; John Frieda Keraflex Hair Spray (sample size) - Cost: $1.50.

(Back row, L-R) Acure Day Cream (sample size) - Cost: $9.68; Nip+Fab Glycolic Fix Pads (sample size) - Cost: $1.08; Scunci Braided Elastic Bands (sample size) - Cost: 96 cents + $1 off coupon on next purchase; Marlowe Extra Moisturizing Lotion (sample size) - Cost: 67 cents; Nivera In-Shower Body Lotion (sample size) - Cost: $1.20.

Overall the total worth of this box was $23.44 which is a great deal since it only cost $7! I was a bit disappointed that there was only one full size product whereas the other box had 3 full size items. I realize some of the sample items in this box were higher cost items but it would have been nice to have another full size item since the other box had three. I still liked the products in this box and can't wait to use them. I already use the Simple Micellar Wipes and they are fabulous for removing makeup if you don't want to use soap. I'm excited to try the Acure Day Cream and the Marlowe Extra Moisturizing Lotion and hope to provide an update on these items.
