Beauty Box Subscription First Look - January 2015 Ipsy



I finally received my January 2015 Ipsy bag in the mail yesterday. I was particularly excited for a couple of products. I received a total of 5 products and a make up bag along with an information card which never contains any information about the products.

Here are the products I received:
  • Coastal Scents Liquid Eye Liner
  • (MALIN+GOETZ) Mojito Lip Balm
  • Laura Mercier FOUNDATION PRIMER
  • Pacifica Natural Mineral Coconut Eye Shadow in Ethereal
  • Hey Honey Take It Off! Exfoliating Honey Peel Off Mask
I can't wait to try the Coastal Scents Liquid Eye Liner and the Pacifica Eye Shadow. I have gotten quite a bit of Coastal Scents items in different beauty box subscriptions in the last few months, so maybe it is time to use all the items together.

I'll let you know in the next few weeks if I use any of the items and what I thought.

Ipsy is a monthly beauty box subscription which costs $10/month. It usually includes 4-5 deluxe sample items such as hair, skin, nails or make up. You can customize your subscription somewhat through your profile. I have opted not to receive any nail products and minimal hair products.

It's been awhile since I've written anything here. I love to write but am not very good about keeping up with it. I have a few posts that I've been working on that I'd like to get up soon. One of them is about my weight-loss/health journey story. May not be interesting to anyone but me. The reason I'd like to get it up is to have a record of it somewhere. Why?

I've been thinking for awhile to get back into blogging even though it doesn't seem like a popular platform anymore with the rise in vlogging (video blogging). But I've never been one to be in front of a camera and opted instead to become a newspaper journalist right out of college. I've also taught high school and college as well as worked my way up but never completed my master's degree in communication studies. Instead I took the path of marriage and motherhood. I've blogged briefly in the past during the pregnancies of both of my sons but gave that up when life took over as it usually does. But now I've got a little time on my hands and decided to head in another direction. I'm a mid-40s (midlife crisis mode) wife and mother and more! This will be more of a lifestyle blog with entries of just about everything and anything (home, cooking, kids, beauty, travel, etc). So here I begin and away we go....

Product Reviews: Dove Cool Essentials Dry Spray (Influenster Target VoxBox)

Occasionally, if I'm lucky, I will receive a box from Influenster . If I'm super lucky, I will get a box with a variety of items. If you don't know what Influenster is, it is a website where you can learn about products and even get a few for free to try out and submit a review. There are also other activities you do to earn more free products to review. And who doesn't love something for nothing. You also might get super lucky and receive one of their boxes with a variety of items to try. But I've only been lucky lately from Influenster and received two items from them. One was the Dove Men+Care Extra Fresh Dry Spray Antiperspirant  for my husband to try out and the other was Dove Cool Essentials Dry Spray for me to review. In this post, I will only be reviewing the Dove Cool Essentials Dry Spray since I have used this product. The Dove Cool Essentials Dry Spray comes in a cool and simply decorated canister. The fragrance is called "cool essentials.
