Beauty Box Subscription: January 2016 Target Renewal Beauty Box

Target came out with two beauty boxes this month, and I jumped on both of them as soon as they came out. I missed the last beauty box and seeing what items it contained, I was bummed. Target does not offer a beauty box subscription, so it can be hit or miss getting one. They generally tend to be better than other beauty boxes and sometimes are more expensive but never more than $10 so far.

I received one of the two beauty boxes offered in the mail within a few days after ordering (the other is on the way). I got the Target Renewal Beaty Box (please note this box is sold out but I provided a link in case you were curious) first. The box cost just $7 and was a great value for the items it contained. The box comes wrapped in clear plastic with a mailing label on the side. It fits nicely in my mailbox, so there was no need for the mail carrier to leave it on my doorstep. It was quite heavy, and I was excited to open it.

As soon as I took the cover off, there was a card which says to try out the products and if you like them, you can find the full-sized versions at Target.com/beautybox. This is convenient so you don't have to search the website for a particular product in the box. Attached to the card (not shown) is also $3 off beauty purchase of $15 or more and can be used in store or on the website.

The box was stuffed with all kinds of products ranging from deodorant sprays to a facial mask to cosmetic items. Of course there were items such as a body wash or shampoo, which is in every box. But overall, there were some great items!

Here are the items I got (starting with the Degree spray going clockwise): Degree Women Fresh Energy Dry Spray (full size!!!) - Retail price: $4.99, Revlon Ultimate All-In-One Mascara (full size!!!) - Retail price: $8.99, Jergens Wet Skin Moisturizer (sample size) - Cost: $1.40, Attitude Volume & Shine Shampoo (sample size) - Cost: .67 cents, Attitude 2-in-1 Shampoo (sample size) - Cost: .67 cents, Caress Love Forever Body Wash (sample size) - Cost: .53 cents, Hada Labo Tokyo Anti-Aging Facial Mask (1 full mask - sample since regular box contains 4) - $3.75, Laneige BB Cushion (sample size) - Cost: $2.27 (I only calculated for one because most people can only use one for their skin tone) and Scrunci No Slip Grip Braided Headwrap - (full size!!!) - $5.99 (also came with $1 off coupon on next purchase).

The overall worth of this box was $29.26 not counting the $3 off $15 Target beauty coupon and the $1 off Scrunci coupon. For $7 plus free shipping and 5 percent off with my Target Red Card, this was a fabulous deal! The only item I was pretty disappointed in was the Caress Body Wash since I have received this in several other boxes previously. I would say overall this was a big win for me! I am excited for the 3 full size items which alone were worth $19.97. I hope the other Target box I purchased will be just as great!
