Beauty Box Subscription: April 2015 Birchbox

My April 2015 Birchbox subscription came early this month. I was so excited to receive this box because the box itself was designed by Rifle Paper Co. and is just so beautiful. It just exudes spring is here! It is simply just gorgeous with gold lettering on the front. This box is not just a boxful of goodies but worth putting on display.

As with all Birchbox subscriptions monthly, there are at least 5 deluxe sized samples. This month I received the Beaver Professional Hydro Nutritive Moisturizing Shampoo and Repairing conditioner. They are a nice size with 2.0 fl. oz. of shampoo and 1.35 fl. oz of conditioner. I love that I can take these are great sizes to put into my travel case. The shampoo cost $15 for the full size and $16 for a full-size conditioner. The value of the samples in my box together were approximately $6.54.

The next item I received was a small shadow palette by POP Beauty. It is described as a Peach Parfait Trio with colors of that shade. they are pastel and embrace spring with its soft colors. The full-sized palette has an array of 36 colors with every color from purples to pinks to greens to blues to browns and more (pictured right). I am not sure if the sample shadows I received was the full-size of a single shadow in the retail palette but based on the price of $26, I estimated my sample cost about $2.17.

The fourth sample I received was from Harvey Prince. It was the Hello Body Butter. Hello is one of Harvey Prince's popular perfume. I love the bright and cheery tube which contained the sample. I loved the Hello perfume so I'm sure I will also love this body butter. This sample was only .50 fl. oz. and worth about $1.25. The full-sized product is 8 fl. oz. and cost $20.

My last sample was a Cynthia Rowley Creamy Lip Stain. This is a tiny sample but about half the size of the full-sized product. The full-sized product is .17 oz and the sample was .079 oz. The color I received was Sugar described as a "sophisticated nude-pink." There were five other colors available. My sample was worth $9.29 (which I'm dubious about) and the full-sized product cost $20.

Overall this box was worth about $19.25, which is not bad considering I only paid $10. I still love receiving my Birchbox every month.
