Beauty Box: Spring 2015 Target Beauty Box

Unlike other beauty boxes, Target does not offer a subscription for theirs. Instead, you have to get lucky and grab one as soon as they are offered on the Target website. I missed the winter box, so as soon as I got wind the spring box was available, I grabbed one.

The Target Beauty Box is only $5 and ships free though you will be charged tax if you live in a state with a Target store, which is every state I believe. If you have a Target Red Card, you can save a little bit on the tax. I paid $5.08 for my box with my Red Card.

This box was definitely worth the price. There were 5 items and a coupon for $3 off any $15 beauty department purchase in store or online. The coupon has a quick expiration date of May 17, 2015.

There was also a description card enclosed which described each item and how to use the product. According to the card, only one item was noted as full-sized but I happen to know another item was also full-sized since I already owned it.

The noted full-sized item was the Maybelline Color Elixer by Color Sensational Lip Color. I received it in Rose Redefined. It is not a traditional lipstick as the product appears to be but rather a lip color which is applied with a doe foot applicator. I loved the light color and the shine it gave my lips. This retails for $5.49 on the Target website which is more than the cost of the box.

The other full-sized item was the L'Oreal Infallible Pro-Spray & Set. I already own this product and love it! I use it to set my makeup after I apply it in the morning. This product retails for $13.99 on the Target website, and I was so happy to receive this in the beauty box.

The other three items were deluxe-sized in my opinion. The Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel Cream came in the blue tube and appeared to be rather small. I cannot remember the exact amount but the full-size for sale on the Target website was only .5 oz and cost approx. $17. According to the description, it is a gel which will be absorbed quickly but moisturizes like a cream. I look forward to trying this gel.

The SheaMoisture Superfruit Complex 10-in-1 Renewal System Shampoo is sulfate-free and helps to restore hair to its heathy state. I have not tried this item yet but it is a nice sized sample which would give me many tries in order to decide it I like it or not. The shampoo is currently on sale for $9.89 on the Target website. The regular price is $10.99.

The last item was a TRESemme TRES Two Extra Hold Hairspray. The full-sized product retails for $3.99 on the Target website. It is a nice sized sample that is good to toss in a travel case.

Overall, this is a nice box with lots of value. Just the lip color and the pro-spray together is almost a $19.50 value. Too bad Target doesn't offer a subscription like its counterpart Walmart. I'm sure it would add more work and maybe they don't see the value at having these type of subscriptions to try products for its customers. I was surprised to get the $3/$15 coupon, and I will definitely be using mine soon. I am not sure when the next beauty box will be coming out but I would guess sometime during the summer.
