Product Reviews: Dove Cool Essentials Dry Spray (Influenster Target VoxBox)

Occasionally, if I'm lucky, I will receive a box from Influenster. If I'm super lucky, I will get a box with a variety of items. If you don't know what Influenster is, it is a website where you can learn about products and even get a few for free to try out and submit a review. There are also other activities you do to earn more free products to review. And who doesn't love something for nothing. You also might get super lucky and receive one of their boxes with a variety of items to try.

But I've only been lucky lately from Influenster and received two items from them. One was the Dove Men+Care Extra Fresh Dry Spray Antiperspirant for my husband to try out and the other was Dove Cool Essentials Dry Spray for me to review. In this post, I will only be reviewing the Dove Cool Essentials Dry Spray since I have used this product.

The Dove Cool Essentials Dry Spray comes in a cool and simply decorated canister. The fragrance is called "cool essentials." I was a bit worried since there was a picture of a cucumber on the can and there have been some cucumber fragranced products I have smelled which were not very pleasant. What really caught my eye about this particular product was that it boasts being a 48h antiperspirant. Forty-eight hours? Really? Wow, I never wear my deodorant for 48 hours. That's some big shoes to fill because I'm not sure there are any deodorants that last that long.

I used this product on a normal day for me which nowadays have not been very intense or physically demanding since I haven't been exercising due to a medical issue with my knee. But the weather has been getting warmer, and the afternoons have had me break out in a light sweat. The Dove Spray was easy to use by holding the canister about six inches away from my armpit and spraying lightly.

I immediately noticed the fragrance which was slightly overpowering but not stinky. It was a pleasant odor that did not stay strong too long. My immediate reaction was to air out my armpits to dry them but then I realized I didn't need to do that, so thumbs up! It really didn't feel like I was wearing any deodorant.

I generally take a shower in the morning, so I wore this deodorant for at least 24 hours straight. I can say it didn't last as an antiperspirant on me during those 24 hours. It was easier to wash off the deodorant during my next shower unlike some of the stick deodorants.

Overall, this was average for me. I wouldn't purchase this myself but if you're the type of person who doesn't really sweat or smell but can handle a light deodorant, then this is the product for you!
